20th September 2024
Dear Parents and Carers,
This Week in School
We had an RE ‘Wow’ assembly on Monday led by our new RE Lead Teacher, Mrs Earp. The theme of the assembly was Pupils Leading Prayer, and the Chaplains demonstrated to pupils how they could use Diocesan resources to plan and lead short, child-friendly, interactive worships in class. Of course, no assembly would be complete without a musical complement, and the children sang the Echo Our Father beautifully followed by Come and Join the Circle, as Mrs Tighe accompanied them on the piano. It was a wonderful event enjoyed by all and I would like to thank the Chaplains, Mrs Earp and Mrs Tighe for their contributions.
School Access
Our new pedestrian gate for the EYFS area has now been installed and we are pleased that this will allow for easier access for pedestrians going forward.
The part for the new vehicle access gate hasn’t arrived yet due to a delay in delivery to the contractors. I have been told this should arrive and be installed on Monday.
Finally, the timings for the front pedestrian gate have been extended to allow Breakfast Club and After School Club users to have better access.
Booking in for Breakfast Club and After School Club
Please can I give a polite reminder from the office staff that parents need to book their children in to Breakfast Club and After School Club in advance using Scopay. This is so we can ensure that staffing levels are correct. It also reduces workload for our office staff by ensuring they do not have to write invoices by hand or ‘chase’ payment. We appreciate your support with this.
Asda Rewards - Money Available to Primary Schools with Loyalty Programme Giveaway
We would like to inform you of an exciting new way to raise funds for our school! Asda have set up a new loyalty programme whereby parents and supporters can raise money for their nominated school. Asda’s chief customer officer says of the initiative:
“The power of Asda Rewards means we can create a route for supporters to donate directly to their school, simply by doing their normal shopping with Asda and benefiting from the great value we offer everyday, as well as topping up their own Cashpot. It’s a game changing initiative for schools and a win-win for customers.”
We would be so grateful if you would consider supporting us by joining the scheme. For further information and details on how to join, please follow the links below:
