STARTING SCHOOL IN SEPTEMBER 2025
St George’s Catholic School is holding some open sessions for prospective parents to have a tour of our thriving parish school and an opportunity to talk to the Headteacher. The closing date for applications is Wednesday 15th January 2025. The open session dates are:
Tuesday 15th October at 9.30am
Thursday 14th November at 9.30am
Wednesday 20th November at 2.00pm
Starting School
If you have a child born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021, then now is the time to apply for a place at our school for admission from September 2025 onwards. you must complete an application form which is available from the School Admissions Team of the Somerset County Council. If your child has been baptised and you wish to apply for our school, you must also provide a copy of the baptism certificate to the school. Please ensure you apply by the closing date of 15th January 2025. Please use the link below to apply to start school for the first time.

In Year Admission
If you are considering moving your child during a school year, you can apply for a place by completing the In Year application form which can be found below, and return it to us. We would advise contacting the school beforehand to see if there is a place available. The governing body will consider all applications on a weekly basis and you will be advised of the outcome of your application in writing, and if refused a place, you will have the right of appeal to an independent appeal panel.
